What could you try for the first time?

I could try oil painting, I think I’d like it but that’s when you get into the realm of needing a studio or at least a space to make a mess. I really think that it’s probably incompatible while you have young kids but maybe it’s something that I work towards as my kids get older.

I do think that it’s important to at least try new mediums and styles with your art tho. Because even if you decide not to take that medium any further you almost always learn new techniques and styles that can carry over into your other works. That’s the great thing with creativity you can almost always apply ideas across all of its forms from music to filmmaking to painting and illustration. All of these creative art forms usually make you think and stir some kind of emotion wether you like them or not.

So I think oil painting can wait for a bit. I think I’d rather develop my skills in illustration, storytelling and digital illustration at the moment. As these are styles that are easily transportable and can be stopped and started at anytime, within a busy work schedule.
