The Uncommon Animals of the Alphabet Kids Book Update

What have you been working on?

So I’ve been working on this book for a while now and I’m very close to completion. I’m up to doing the finished digital illustration for my Yeti Crab and I need to do my initial sketch for my Zorilla.

This book should be done by now but there are a few things holding me back which all kinda relate to self sabotage. Why would I want to sabotage my efforts? That’s a very good question that I don’t think many artists can answer, but it’s definitely a big thing within the creative community.

My first distraction was NFT’s. I sold one of these uncommon animals on the voice platform. Then I had an idea of creating collections of all of my Uncommon Animal illustrations. They started to sell and I was doing OK from what I could tell. I justified this sideline project because it would help fund the production and printing of the book. However due to the risky nature of NFT’s the platform Voice where I was virtually based closed it’s doors. Leaving me with about a thousand Australian dollars that I now couldn’t access. So you could say my NFT distraction was a complete waste of time. However I did get a taste for NFT’s which I think I will get back to at some stage.

For now tho it’s time to finish that book… to be continued
