Hanging with Salvador

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

If I had the opportunity to meet an historical figure it would definitely be Salvador Dali. I would probably be guaranteed that I wouldn’t find out any more about the artist, but I’d definitely have a good time.

I think Dali is the epitome of a thriving artist. He embraced surrealism in every way, from his paintings right down to his persona, signature moustache, over the top public appearances and challenging ideals.. he was basically a shit stirrer.

He put on the performance of Dali, he confused and confounded the media in order to draw attention to his artwork. As he was well known for embellishing the truth to create a good story or some controversy. The name of the game for the thriving artist is getting attention, and Dali was definitely the king at that. Even as a kid Dali was one of the only artists I was aware of, he was a household name… He was an artist that made me aware that you could have fun with art and that you were only limited by your imagination.

I wonder if Dali would have embraced AI or been horrified by it?
