The Okapi is the only living relative of the giraffe, sharing many anatomical features with its towering cousin. One of the most distinctive features of the Okapi is the bold striping on its hindquarters and upper legs. These zebra-like stripes, set against a dark backdrop, serve a critical function in the Okapi’s survival.
