The wonders of AI. It’s like inserting your artistic ideas into a slot machine and hoping it creates a masterpiece. Sometimes, they do—most times, they don’t. My latest venture into the realm of AI art on the Revel.xyz app has been nothing short of amusing and oddly inspiring.
Imagine a lynx, majestic and stealthy, prowling through the snowy wilderness. Now, give it five legs. No, this isn’t a glitch in the matrix—this is the delightful outcome of my recent collaboration with AI. It’s a bizarre creation that surprisingly tickles my artistic sensibilities. In fact, I’m starting to think my lynx should have eight legs. Why not? Let’s dive deeper into the surreal.

For years, I posted artworks solely created by me. Each stroke, each color choice, meticulously thought out. But then came Revel.xyz, a platform that allows you to create AI NFTs. I decided to treat this new tool as a kind of digital scrapbook, a place to explore and bounce ideas around. The AI is far from perfect, but that’s the charm. It’s like brainstorming with a scatterbrained friend who occasionally throws out a gem.
I’m keeping these AI-driven pieces as collectibles on the platform, not because they’re my best work, but because they represent a dialogue between human creativity and artificial whimsy. This collaboration is less about the end product and more about the process, the spark of inspiration it provides for my other, non-AI art.
Using Revel.xyz as a scrapbook for my ideas feels much like my favorite and most productive time of the year: spring. There’s something about spring that revitalises the creative spirit. Perhaps it’s the longer days, the burst of color from blooming flowers, or just the promise of new beginnings. For an artist, spring is like a natural high, a season where everything feels possible.
What is your favorite season of year? Why?
In spring, the world wakes up from its winter slumber, and so does my creativity. The fresh air, the chirping birds, the vibrant greenery—all of it fuels my imagination. It’s the perfect time to experiment, to take risks, and to let my ideas run wild. Just like my five-legged lynx.
So here I am, embracing the chaos and potential of AI on Revel.xyz. It’s a playful exploration, where even the quirkiest ideas have a place. Will I create a masterpiece? Who knows. But in the spirit of spring, I’m ready to let the ideas bloom.

I used to play with Markov chains for generative poetry. But it was, like you, just a fun distraction. It rarely generated anything worth keeping.

Yes you are 100% right, and as if artists need yet another distraction 😆 occasionally it does trigger an idea for something tho. For me It’s like a tool I can use to bounce ideas off.
