I’m excited to announce the release of my Babirusa limited edition prints! With only 10 available, these prints come in your choice of canvas, framed, or metal wall art. There are several sizes to choose from, ensuring there’s an option to match your budget and your room.

The Babirusa, also known as the “deer-pig,” is one of the most fascinating and unique animals featured in my kids’ book Uncommon Animals of the Alphabet. Native to the Indonesian islands, Babirusas are known for their distinctive tusks, which grow upward through their snouts. These remarkable creatures are a testament to the wild diversity of our planet’s wildlife.
However, the Babirusa species is threatened by habitat loss and hunting. Their dwindling numbers are a stark reminder of the challenges many uncommon animals face today. By highlighting these unique creatures in my art, I hope to raise awareness about their plight and inspire action to protect them and their environments.
Creating these limited edition prints is a way for me to celebrate the Babirusa and share its wonder with others. I believe that by popularising these uncommon animals through my kids’ book and artworks, I can help foster a deeper appreciation and a sense of responsibility toward their conservation. Each print sold contributes to this mission, spreading awareness and encouraging a connection with these extraordinary animals.
How do you express your gratitude?
For me, it starts with recognising the support and inspiration that others provide. Here are a few ways I try to show my gratitude:
- Acknowledging Supporters: Whether it’s through a heartfelt thank you in a blog post or a personal note to a customer, acknowledging those who support my work is essential.
- Giving Back: Contributing to causes that align with my values, such as wildlife conservation, is a meaningful way to express gratitude. It’s my way of saying thanks to the natural world that inspires my art.
- Engaging with the Community: Engaging with fellow artists and art enthusiasts through my gallery and podcast helps build a supportive community.
- Sharing Knowledge: Passing on what I’ve learned through my YouTube channel and blog posts can help others on their creative journeys. It’s a way of giving back to the artistic community that nurtures us all.
- Creating with Purpose: Every piece of art I create is infused with a sense of gratitude for the inspiration I draw from nature and the support I receive from my audience. It’s a constant reminder of why I do what I do.
Expressing gratitude as an artist isn’t just about saying thank you; it’s about embodying that gratitude in everything we do. It’s about recognising the interconnectedness of our creative endeavors and the world around us.
So, here’s to the Babirusa, a remarkable creature that continues to inspire my work. And here’s to you, for joining me on this journey. Together, we can celebrate and protect the uncommon animals that make our world so wonderfully diverse.
Feel free to share your thoughts, your favorite uncommon animals, or how you express gratitude in your own creative endeavors. Let’s continue to inspire and support each other, one piece of art at a time.
