My homage to a time when the world decided to blame bats for grinding everything to a halt. You know, when everyone was stuck at home, wondering if they’d ever see the light of day again, I figured, why not make something that’ll mess with their minds just a little bit more? And so, the Hypno Bat was born. It’s a bat, but not just any bat—it’s a trippy, black-and-white optical illusion that practically vibrates off the canvas, designed to pull you in and spin your head, and scramble your brains.
I’ve created hundreds of Hypno Bat variations, because, well, when life gives you lemons, you make trippy bat art. With every new swirl, line, and pattern, it’s as if the bat itself was mutating along with the times—fitting, right? Some might call it overkill, but I call it a commitment to the cause. Besides, why stick to one version when you can create a whole colony?
So here it is, the Hypno Bat in all its glory. It’s confusing, it’s chaotic, and it’s kind of hilarious when you think about it—just like those early days when bats were getting all the bad press. But honestly, this bat isn’t here to cause panic; it’s here to be a reminder that even in the weirdest times, you can find a way to create something that’s uniquely your own, no matter how many iterations it takes.

What do you love about where you live?
Caltowie may be small in population, but it’s big on charm. Nestled at the gateway to the stunning Flinders Ranges, this little gem is a slice of heaven for a cloud lover like me. The vast skies stretch out endlessly, offering up some of the most breathtaking cloud formations you could imagine. And when the sun dips below the horizon, the night sky doesn’t disappoint either. Out here, away from the city lights, the stars explode across the sky in a dazzling display, reminding you just how magical the universe can be.
Sure, the town only has about 150 residents, but what it lacks in numbers, it more than makes up for in beauty and inspiration. For a creative soul, there’s no better place to be. The peace and quiet, combined with the natural splendor all around, make Caltowie the perfect base for artistic bliss. Whether I’m working on a new piece of art, getting distracted by new ideas, or just soaking in the tranquility, this place never fails to fuel my creativity. It’s a little slice of paradise where the imagination can run wild, and that’s why I love it here.
