This edition of my Hypno Bat series, represents a convergence of multiple influences and ideas that have been swirling in my creative universe for quite some time. The Hypno Bat has always been more than just a character—it’s a symbol of transformation, an embodiment of the hypnotic power that art can wield over the mind.

In this piece, I’ve infused elements of my earlier works, drawing from my love for black and white op art and adding layers of complexity with patterns and textures. The background features a repeating babirusa design, echoing my ongoing fascination with uncommon animals, which have become a recurring motif in my work. The intertwining patterns and drips of color that overlay the bat’s face introduce a sense of movement and fluidity, capturing the essence of how I see the world: ever-changing, dynamic, and interconnected.
The intricate, almost hypnotic lines that form the bat’s ears guide the viewer’s gaze into the center of the artwork, where the patterns within the bat’s eyes suggest a journey inward—an exploration of the self and the mind. This inward journey is mirrored in the way I create my art, often getting lost in the process, only to emerge with something that feels both familiar and completely new.
What does your ideal home look like?
Just as my art evolves and adapts, so too does my idea of the perfect living space. In an ideal world, my home would be as minimalist and self-sufficient as possible—an environment that fosters creativity and provides the freedom to move with the seasons. This home wouldn’t be anchored to one spot but would instead have six wheels, making it a mobile sanctuary that could be relocated with the seasons
Imagine a tiny home, stripped of all unnecessary clutter, filled only with the essentials—both functional and artistic. The interior would be dominated by clean lines, neutral tones, and open spaces. The kitchen would be efficient and modern and would cater to my culinary needs while being energy-efficient and environmentally conscious.
This self-sufficient haven would be powered by solar panels, with rainwater collection and filtration systems ensuring that I leave as light a footprint as possible. The beauty of this setup lies in its ability to support a sustainable lifestyle, where every resource is carefully considered and nothing goes to waste—much like the precision and thoughtfulness I aim to bring to my art.
Outside, the tiny home could be nestled among trees or perched by a winter creek, with large windows providing ample natural light and offering uninterrupted views of nature—my greatest muse. A small workspace with just enough room for my tablet, sketchbooks, and a few art supplies would be my creative corner, where I could let my imagination run wild, inspired by the ever-changing landscapes outside my door.
In essence, this home would be a reflection of my artistic philosophy: minimalist, flexible, and deeply connected to the natural world. It would be a space where I could continue to create, evolve, and explore new ideas, no matter where the road takes me. Just like the Hypno Bat, my home would be a symbol of transformation, always moving, always adapting, yet always staying true to its core essence.
