Inspired by my fascination with unusual animals, I brought together a kaleidoscope of creatures, each with its own striking colors, patterns, and shapes. Just as my love of podcasts introduces me to diverse perspectives and ideas, this piece showcases my deep appreciation for the world’s rich tapestry of life, highlighting the beauty in the unexpected and unfamiliar.

What podcasts are you listening to?
I listen to an insane amount of podcasts. From art and creativity to science, self-help, and nature podcasts have become a real source of insight and inspiration for me. But to stay on theme, here are my top five art podcasts that fuel my creative work and help me keep pushing forward.
- Tetragrammaton – Rick Rubin
If you’re craving conversations that dive deep into the very marrow of creativity, Rick Rubin’s Tetragrammaton is for you. Rubin has a way of talking to people that cuts through all the surface-level chatter. He’ll ask probing, sometimes unexpected questions that let artists and creators get into the nitty-gritty of their journey, their struggles, and their philosophies on art. Listening to Tetragrammaton feels like eavesdropping on a late-night, soul-searching conversation where no topic is off-limits. It’s helped me think beyond the technical parts of my art and really consider the “why” behind what I do.
- Creative Pep Talk – Andy J. Pizza
Creative Pep Talk by Andy J. Pizza does exactly what it says on the tin: it gives you a pep talk that’ll get you back into the studio, back to your desk, or even back to that sketchpad you’ve left sitting in a corner. Andy’s energy is infectious, and he’s all about giving practical, doable advice for creatives. I tune in whenever I’m feeling a bit stuck, and his perspective on art, life, and the whole messy creative process always helps me see things in a different light. It’s like having a super-enthusiastic friend who just gets the ups and downs of making art.
- The Creative Endeavour – Andrew Tischler
Andrew Tischler’s The Creative Endeavour is one of the most down-to-earth and relatable art podcasts out there. Andrew is a professional artist himself, so he knows exactly what it takes to keep going, make a living, and stay motivated in a creative field. He interviews other working artists, and the conversations are refreshingly honest about the day-to-day realities of being an artist. It’s not all about lofty ideas – it’s real talk about making art and making it work. I find it really grounding and inspiring to hear from other artists who are in the same trenches.
- The Art Marketing Podcast – Art Storefronts
If you’re in the business of art (or want to be), The Art Marketing Podcast by Art Storefronts is a must. Let’s face it – being an artist today isn’t just about making art; it’s also about knowing how to market it. Art Storefronts covers everything from social media to email lists to understanding your customers. It’s like a crash course in the business side of art that you probably didn’t get in art school. I tune in to pick up strategies and tips that I can apply right away, and it’s been invaluable in helping me find new ways to get my work out there and make it sustainable.
- Art Juice – Louise Fletcher & Alice Sheridan
Art Juice, hosted by Louise Fletcher and Alice Sheridan, is a favorite for its mix of practical advice, art theory, and good old-fashioned artist banter. Louise and Alice cover everything from mindset to techniques, and their conversations feel like catching up with friends who understand the rollercoaster of being a creative. They have a way of balancing the hard stuff – like dealing with self-doubt and imposter syndrome – with a healthy dose of humor. I always come away from Art Juice feeling understood, inspired, and ready to dive back into my art.
Bonus Podcast: Fork In The Road – by me, Andy Marshall
Someday, I hope my own podcast, Fork In The Road, will sit among these greats! It’s still a work in progress, but I’m excited about where it’s going. I’ll be interviewing artists and digging into what it takes to not just survive, but thrive, as a creative today. We’ll talk about the passion, the hustle, and the strategies that help some artists really make it. I want to bring out the raw, real stories of what it means to live a creative life, including the joys and struggles. One day, I hope Fork In The Road inspires others the way these podcasts have inspired me.
So there you have it – my top art podcasts that keep my creative juices flowing. Give them a listen, and hopefully, you’ll find the same motivation, insights, and community that I’ve found.

Wow, I am looking forward to listening to these! I didn’t know any of them, thank you so much 🙂
