When are you most creative?

This piece comes from my visual dream journal series, a project I’ve recently started to capture the fleeting imagery of my dreams. Dreams are weird and unpredictable, mixing the mundane with the fantastical, and often vanish the moment we wake. But as an artist, I’ve been experimenting with AI to bring these dreamscapes to life. It’s fascinating how AI and dreams share a similar language—both are a mix of randomness and reinterpretation, combining unexpected elements into something new. For me, these images serve as a treasure trove of inspiration to revisit in my creative work.

Are you more of a night or morning person?

For me, mornings are where I thrive. There’s a magic in starting the day fresh, before the weight of the world creeps in. My head feels clear, my thoughts sharper, and I can channel that clarity into my work. Creating in the morning feels like setting the tone for the day—productive, inspired, and intentional. There’s nothing quite like the stillness of early hours to focus on bringing new ideas to life.

But creativity doesn’t stop at the end of the day. Lately, I’ve turned my sleep into productive time by recording a visual dream journal. It’s incredible how many ideas and images come to us while we’re asleep—whole worlds unfold, only to dissolve when we wake. Capturing those fleeting moments has become a rewarding habit. By interpreting them into a series of AI-generated artworks, I’ve unlocked a new dimension of creativity.

AI feels like an extension of dreaming—a tool that, much like the subconscious, combines and reimagines ideas in unexpected ways. Together, they create fascinating concepts that push my work in directions I never anticipated. “Bug Drop” is one such piece, born from that dreamlike synergy. This process has deepened my belief that inspiration is everywhere, even in the quiet moments when we close our eyes and drift away.
