Looking at my YouTube channel I’ve reached my first milestone which I was talking about, which is 3000 views. Now I don’t know whether that’s amazing, good, average, indifferent, but to me it’s pretty amazing. I’m coming from a background of being projectionist, I know what 3000 people watching a movie looks like. Even if it’s for only one minute black-and-white square films. One thing which I think makes YouTube so good, and you know I hadn’t really thought about it in this respect before but it’s different to like posting videos on Facebook or Instagram or anything like that because the thing is with YouTube, is, to start off with you post it and it’s up there forever until you take it down, or until YouTube goes bust – I don’t know if that’s ever gonna happen – and the other thing is the search engine it’s just like Google people are always typing in things like how do I do this? how do I do that? and that way they can just find stuff, you can’t do that with Instagram or Facebook.
