I’ve been thinking about an idea that relates pretty closely to YouTube, which is this concept of ‘A Thousand True Fans’ I’ll link to it in the description. But the whole idea is that you don’t need millions of subscribers. You just need 1000 true fans and the idea of a true fan is someone who will buy everything that you do. If your selling CD’s, paintings, things like that, you only need to sell $100 worth to each of those thousand people each year and you’ll be making $100,000. This is a concept which I really like, and it all kinda sounds a bit achievable, that’s not to say it wouldn’t be hard work. But YouTube provides a platform where you can have that interactivity and personal contact with people.
