Can one Youtube channel have two goals? Part 2

The final layout on page 2 of the Elijah and Crumpet Kids Book Motivate Man. I’m posting the right hand page first so that when you look back at my Instagram feed both illustrations work together side by side.

It’s funny that whenever I say ‘post continued tomorrow’, or ‘I’m posting this tonight’ etc. it usually never happens. So I think in future I’m not going to tell you what I’m going to do so I don’t jinx it.

…first part in previous post…

So Nick Nimmin was suggesting that if I have two goals I should definity have two separate Youtube channels. Those wanting to create kids books and artists wanting to document their journeys on social media. However I do feel he was starting to see the merit of running them in the same channel. As I am putting the documenting my journey stuff into practice by illustrating the kids books. It’s a bit like a case study where I can see what’s working and what isn’t. But it’s a difficult one, they probably would grow better as two seperate channels but I don’t think I want to separate my art from ‘How artists can document their journey’ stuff.

I think themed thumbnails and clear playlist categories are going to help direct people either to my art or how to.. Kinda info. Also clear end screens on the video’s that direct people to more of what they are likely interested in.

I’m probably making a mistake but sharing it here, so we’ll see what happens.
