Just go for it, Andy – you can always publish a second edition. Otherwise you can spent a lifetime improving things. That said, I always find someone else reads it differently to the way I imagined it being read when I wrote it. People are still asking me how to sing ‘The Motivate Song’ as they put the emphasis in a different place to me!
So the second sentence could easily start ‘ From her lovely snout … ‘ as ‘lovely’ is split up into ‘lo-ve-ly’ instead of it having to be ‘lovely piggy’ which is hard to split into 3! Even after publishing I find improvements – often using an apostrophe helps get the rhythm correct.
