I originally created this little extinct oddball for Inktober, but it’s since taken on a life of its own… ironic, I know. The Dodo will likely flap its way into my next kids’ book, More Uncommon Animals of the Alphabet. Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?
Fame’s a slippery thing. I’ve never shaken hands with a Steve Irwin or traded art tips with Banksy, but I’ve had real conversations with artists on my podcast who, to me, are famous. They’re not all household names…yet, but they’ve built creative lives that work. They’ve failed, adapted, and kept going. Those are the people I look up to, the ones whose art isn’t just decoration, it’s defiance.
