From the outside, everything looks ordinary. People walk their dogs, drink their coffee, talk about work, carry their shopping home. The street moves along as if the world is exactly where it should be. Sometimes the hardest part of carrying an inner conflict is looking out at a world that seems calm and orderly. Everyone else appears to be moving forward while you’re still staring at the fracture lines.
What nobody sees is the coffee cup lodged in the glass. The crack that happened quietly. The impact frozen in time. The weight of something that never quite shattered but never healed either. Appearances are a poor measure of reality. Every person on that street is carrying something unseen. Some cracks are simply better hidden than others.
